Buyer FAQ

Answers to the questions that shape a wholesale sofa order.

MOQ & price

What is your sofa MOQ?

MOQ is set per model, not per website. It can depend on the frame, upholstery, color, material purchase, customization, packaging, and whether the order is a single model or a mixed container. Current figures: TBC pcs per model, with per-color and sample minimums stated separately in the quote. Mixed loads and consolidation can be assessed during your inquiry. We do not publish a blanket “flexible MOQ,” because a number you can audit is more useful than an adjective.

What do you need for an FOB quote?

Send the model or reference, configuration, dimensions, construction or comfort needs, upholstery, quantity, customization, packaging, destination market, timing, and requested port. The quote should state currency, Incoterm, port, quantity basis, included specification, charges, exclusions, and validity.

Why is the FOB price shown as a range?

Material package, order volume, color minimums, packaging, testing, inspection, payment terms, and FOB port can change the unit cost. The range is a screening aid; the current written quote for a defined model and quantity is the buying basis.

Sampling & customization

Can I order a sample first?

Sample availability, cost, build time, freight, and refund or credit terms depend on the model and development route. Define which dimensions, materials, colors, construction, labels, and packaging the sample represents. Current policy: TBC.

Do you support OEM or private label?

Requests can be reviewed for dimensions, configuration, comfort, upholstery, colors, legs, labels, manuals, brand marks, carton artwork, and packaging. Feasibility depends on the factory, volume, materials, tooling, testing, and schedule. Confirmed scope: TBC.

Can you match a reference photo or existing sample?

A photo can start a feasibility review but does not define hidden construction, dimensions, comfort, materials, function, or legal rights. Share drawings, measurements, target performance, and an authorized sample where available; Prima will identify which details require development or approval.

Lead time & schedulable capacity

What is the production lead time?

The production window is confirmed per order specs, because timing depends on the model, quantity, materials, customization, sample and artwork approvals, testing, schedulable capacity at the partner facility, holidays, inspection, and any corrective action. Current figures: TBC days; where numbers are not yet confirmed we publish “Production window confirmed per order specs” rather than a promise we cannot support.

When does the lead-time clock start?

The trigger must be written into the quotation or purchase order, such as receipt of deposit plus approval of sample, specification, color, labels, and packaging. An order date alone may not start production if required approvals remain open.

How do you verify capacity for my order?

Capacity is checked at the proposed partner facility for the product type, quantity, requested window, current load, material readiness, and line requirements. Ask for the verification date and whether the figure is total capacity or schedulable capacity available for your window.

Payment & trade terms

What payment terms are available?

Terms are confirmed in the quotation and purchase order based on the order and approved commercial review. Verify the beneficiary, bank details, invoice, and change-control procedure through the established business contact. Standard terms: TBC.

Which Incoterms and FOB ports do you quote?

The available basis depends on the supplier, origin, and logistics scope. Every quote should name the Incoterm, port or place, included charges, excluded destination costs, responsibility handoff, and validity. Current options: TBC.

How should a bank-detail change be verified?

Do not send funds based only on an email or instant message requesting new beneficiary details. Confirm the change through the established contact and purchase-order process using a second verified channel.

Certification & compliance

Can you provide CA TB117-2013 documents?

Availability depends on the model, components, factory, and buyer process. Request evidence relevant to the quoted sofa or material and verify holder, scope, date, and labeling requirements. Current availability: TBC.

What about FSC, OEKO-TEX, CARB P2, or TSCA Title VI?

Each name covers a different material, process, or claim. Verify the certificate or report holder, site, product/material scope, number, validity, and logo-use rules. Do not treat one document as proof for every sofa.

Can you meet a retailer-specific compliance manual?

Send the current manual before pricing and sampling. Requirements may affect materials, testing, audit, labels, carton markings, barcodes, packaging, drop tests, costs, and timing. Prima will separate supplier documents, new tests, buyer approvals, and unresolved items.

Production line & inspection

Are you a factory or a trading company?

Prima Global Inc is a furniture trading company — your sourcing & supply partner in China. We source and manufacture through long-term partner factories, and we do not claim those facilities as Prima-owned plants. We say this up front because you will see the partner facility before production: we accompany buyers on a video factory tour of the dedicated partner facilities proposed for their program, and each factory document, audit, and certificate is labeled with the entity it belongs to (held by Prima Global or held by our partner factory).

The direct answer to “why not go factory-direct”: one factory gives you one quote, one MOQ rule, and one capacity window; working with us lets you compare construction, materials, MOQ, FOB basis, and schedulable capacity across partner factories, consolidate smaller or mixed-volume programs, run incoming / in-process / final checks plus container loading supervision at origin, and handle U.S. compliance documents and shipment papers through one window. Manufacturer-specific certificates and audit reports remain in the name of the facility that holds them.

Can we see the production line?

Yes. We can arrange a video factory tour, accompanied by Prima Global to the partner factory proposed for your program, so you see the dedicated partner facility rather than a showroom. Depending on factory approval and your requirements, we can also arrange a buyer visit, document review, third-party audit, pre-production check, pre-shipment inspection, or loading supervision.

Which inspections are available, and who performs them?

The order may define incoming or material verification, in-process checks, final pre-shipment inspection, and loading supervision at the partner facility. Scope, sampling level, inspector (TBC), defect standard, report, corrective action, and release authority must be agreed before production. Third-party inspection is accepted.

Who holds your certificates and audit reports?

Each document is shown with its holder — held by Prima Global or held by our partner factory — plus its scope, site, date, and validity. A BSCI or SMETA audit, for example, belongs to the audited facility, not to Prima as a company. Document samples can be sent with your quotation request.

Logistics & container loading

How many sofas fit in a 40HQ?

An accurate quantity requires the approved packed dimensions, carton count, gross weight, orientation, stack rule, and model mix. Sectionals, sleepers, recliners, modular pieces, compressed packs, and knock-down frames load differently.

Can I mix models or colors in one container?

A mixed load may be possible when each model and color meets its production and material minimums. Confirm the requested split, allowable adjustments, pack data, priority SKUs, and final approved quantities. Current rule: TBC.

Do you arrange freight to the United States?

The logistics scope must be confirmed per order. If freight is included or coordinated, the quote should state Incoterm, origin, destination, included and excluded charges, validity, and responsibility handoff. Current scope: TBC.

After-sales & warranty

What warranty do you offer?

Warranty scope, term, exclusions, remedy, and responsible party must be stated for the model and order. Do not assume that one policy covers every frame, mechanism, fabric, foam, or commercial use. Current policy: TBC.

How should I report a quality issue?

Provide the purchase order, SKU, carton and product labels, affected quantity, description, photos or video, timing, and the specification or sample reference. Keep affected goods and packaging available until the evidence and disposition are reviewed.

How are claims resolved?

Prima reviews the evidence with the partner facility that produced the order and follows the purchase-order terms. Outcomes depend on responsibility, severity, quantity, available repair or replacement, logistics, and the agreed commercial remedy. Current claim window and remedies: TBC.
